Plot summary
When Lyle considers accepting a job in London, Peter gives him the emotionally demanding case of an elderly Holocaust survivor facing eviction. The experience changes Lyle’s view of his future in Market Shipborough. Peter’s investigation reveals that somebody else tried to settle Simon’s debts, before a pregnant woman named Honor arrives and says Simon is the father of her unborn child.
