Plot summary

Peter and Simon travel to Cambridge after Peter’s former professor asks them to recover a dead biologist’s missing research, although the professor is concealing part of the story. Left in charge of the practice, Lyle becomes involved in a disagreement between a car dealer and his son, who wants an independent future rather than accepting money that would bind him to the family business.
